After a slow start, White plains turned up the pressure and score 4 tries in the second half, 6 total, beating Long Island, 41-21.
White Plains started out sloppy, conceding 5 penalties with over 10 handling mistakes in the first 40 minutes. With two tries managed by 8-man Andrew Ianna and Wing Austin Fehringer, respectively, White plains lead 12-7 at half time.
After some motivating words from forwards Alex Nichols and Connor MacDonald, the boys came out focused and determined to play disciplined rugby in the second half.
"We cleaned up our play in the second half and put together some great phases off of the set pieces," said Head Coach, Chris Dahlem. "I am elated for the boys and all the hard work they have put in to achieve this victory."

The Warpigs with its first win of the season now advance to 1-4. Close games have kept them in the hunt and looking to move up in the table. White Plains play the Village lions this Saturday.
"Round 2 is with the lions with so much on the line this week" Says Dahlem. "So much to play for. Effort is there every week, we have to execute under pressure and we will do so all week at training."
